Tower style computer used as a back of house server for some DirecTouch restaurant systems.
DirecTouch Restaurant Point of Sale was designed to be a do-it-yourself or DIY restaurant touch screen system. It was also designed to be a stand-alone system in most cases.
However, when the number of terminals exceeds 3 or heavier processing power is needed because of hand held terminals, credit card processing or other back office needs it is required that a back office server be used.
This server has the following as minimum standards:
For hand held terminals even more RAM is required. A minimum of 1 GB of RAM is needed for a hand held server and Windows Server 2003 with terminal licenses must be added. Therefore, this server as configured will not be sufficient when hand held terminals are in the network.
