How Do I Get Support? | DirecTouch Do It Yourself Restaurant Point of Sale FAQs"But you don't have local support like my local dealer."That is correct. Unless you are located in one of our Florida service zones we do not offer local on-site support as part of our services. The good news is you probably won't need local service. The vast number of service calls taken by a cash register dealer do not require an on-site visit. This trend started years ago when computers started becoming a dominant player in the point of sale industry. The computers used in today's point of sale systems are much more reliable than cash registers of old. The improvements in software have also reduced the number of on-site service calls required. Automatic re-routes of printers, redundant database files and the ability to process credit cards offline have all contributed to this drastic reduction in on-site service calls. Also, please do not have the illusion that your local dealer is going to gladly dispatch a technician to your restaurant at 2:00 am to help clear a jammed printer for free. Sure, the technician on call may return you call, but they are not going to come to your restaurant unless there is a chargeable service call involved. If they say different, check with their references. Each of our customers has access to our 24/7/365 toll free service and support line. We hope that you never have to use it. However, it is there if you have the need. Every system we sell comes with a 6-month depot warranty. If you have a hardware problem, call our toll free number. If the problem is hardware we will ask you to ship us your broken piece and we will ship you a replacement. It is just that simple. After the 1st 6-months you may opt to extend your warranty and add telephone support for only 5% of the original cost of the system. Additional Warranty FAQsCan I extend my DirecTouch Depot Warranty?
