86 Item Countdown Feature | DirecTouch DIY Restaurant Point of Sale

DirecTouch Point of Sale has an item countdown or "86" feature where a beginning count is entered for an item and each time the item is sold 1 is taken from the original count.  Once the count reaches 0 the item is no longer available for sale.

  1. To set an item up for the 86 feature begin by entering your employee number.

  2. Next, enter the "Managers Menu".  This requires proper security access.

  3. Then touch "Menu Maintenance".

  4. Then touch "Price and Number Available".

  5. Pick the item from the list and then enter the number available

  6. You may also sort the database by category with the drop down box.

  7. You may pick the items from this shortened list of items.

  8. Enter the number available.  This can be up to 9,998 items.

  9. When given the option to assign the item to a button touch "No".

  10. "Save" and "Exit" when done.

  11. The quantity available will not display on the button.  This allows each server to see the number available.

  12. When an item is sold, 1 is deducted from inventory.
