Starting a Tab | Bar Point of Sale | DirecTouch DIY Restaurant Point of Sale

DirecTouch Point of Sale is extremely flexible with multiple configurations and the ability to handle multiple concepts.  When placed in a bar application we are able to configure the terminal to run bar tabs.

  1. When in a bar application there are two buttons that appear that help start and recall bar tabs.

  2. You can ring items normally and then touch "Start Tab" or touch "Start Tab" prior to ringing any items.

  3. The tab can be named or numbered depending on the way you run your bar or the way you want to remember your customers.

  4. The "Tabs" button at the bottom of the screen shows how many tabs you have running at this time.

  5. To re-open a tab touch the "Tabs" button.

  6. Select the tab from the list shown in the pop-up window.

  7. The previous order is shown.  You may reorder items from this list or ring additional items.  Touch "Done" when complete and the additional items add to the total tab.

  8. When you are ready to close the tab you first recall it and then close it in the normal fashion.
