Split Check Split Item Feature | DirecTouch DIY Restaurant Point of Sale

It is common for a point of sale system to split checks after the check has been entered as a single check.  It is found in some systems that you can evenly divide an item amongst the guests on the check.  What is not so common is to find these features along with the ability to split a single item and then select which guests will share the item.  DirecTouch Point of Sale does all of these and does them easily and quickly.

  1. Start by selecting "Split Check".

  2. Then touch the table/check to be split.

  3. For every seat/guest touch "Add joiner" to add a ticket window.

  4. Touch the item to be moved...

  5. And then touch the seat position.  The item will immediately move to that seat.

  6. To split an item start by touching "Split Item".  Then touch the item to be split.

  7. The system will then ask how many ways to split the item.  If you have 4 guests you can split the item 2, 3 or 4 ways.

  8. The item is then split and can be moved by touching it and then touching the seat position.

  9. The split checks automatically print and then each check is displayed for the server to recall individually for tender.

  10. One guest can leave and the others stay and close later.
