Setting Up Timed Events | DirecTouch DIY Restaurant Point of Sale

DirecTouch Point of Sale has a feature that will adjust pricing up/down according to date, day of the week and time of the day.  This feature is great for automatically adjusting for happy hour or entertainment pricing.

  1. Begin with entering the "Managers Menu".  This area is password protected and access is restricted through security levels.

  2. Go to "Menu Maintenance".

  3. Go to "Timed Events".

  4. Set up the event by giving it a name, start/end times and the days or dates that it is available.  Imagine setting up Mother's Day pricing well in advance and having the system automatically set the prices that day.

  5. Once you have the event set up you then attach it to an item or group of items.

  6. Use the drop down box to recall the item you want to attach the event to.

  7. Use the drop down box to assign the event.  Enter the price you want for this event.  The system will now automatically adjust pricing for this item.
