Security Levels | DirecTouch DIY Restaurant Point of Sale

DirecTouch Point of Sale has up to 10 security levels that can be assigned to a single employee.  These security levels restrict or grant access to every aspect of the software, including the ability to be able to use the time clock all the way to full access to all aspects of the software for the owners of the restaurant.

  1. Begin with entering the "Managers Menu".  This area is password protected and access is restricted through security levels.

  2. Go to "Register Setup".

  3. Next, go to "Access Levels".

  4. Create the access levels, giving each of them a name that you are comfortable with.

  5. Next, go the employee file to assign each employee their access level.

  6. Recall the employee's file using the drop down box and then assign them their access level.

  7. You can then assign different functions levels of security for access.  This can include an access level to ring a specific menu item.  To program this, go to "Menu Maintenance".

  8. Next, go to "Menu Items and Pricing".

  9. Use the drop down box to recall the security levels that you created earlier.
