Exporting Data to QuickBooks from DirecTouch Do It Yourself Restaurant Point of Sale

QuickBooks and QuickBooks Pro have become a favorite of many businesses and accounting firms.  Many of these firms and businesses have requested an interface of sales data to their accounting software.  We responded with an easy to set up interface to QuickBooks.

  1. Start by entering the "Managers Menu".  Remember, this is a restricted area by security clearance.

  2. Go to the "Reports Menu".

  3. Select "Daily Sales Summary".

  4. Set up the interface.  Start with "Account Setup".

  5. Set up the chart of accounts that you wish to interface to.

  6. Select the type of accounts to be interfaced.

  7. Pick the accounts you wish to transfer.

  8. Set this once and then you can begin to export the sales data for import to QuickBooks.

  9. Select the date or date range you wish to export.  When you click "Save" the data will be put into a file that can then be imported directly into QuickBooks.

  10. "Exit" when done.
