Employee Time Clock Maintenance | DirecTouch DIY Restaurant Point of Sale

At some point, an employee is going to make a mistake in clocking in/out or simply forget to punch in/out.  The first thing you should do is make sure that the mistake was legitimate and not an attempt to defraud you.  Once you are convinced that the mistake was an honest one you can easily fix their oversight.

  1. Start by entering the "Managers Menu".  Remember, this area is restricted by security clearance.

  2. Go to the "Time Clock Menu".

  3. Select "Edit Time Records".

  4. Select the employee from the drop down menu.

  5. This will bring up their employee time record.  Click the time slot that you wish to alter.

  6. The system will ask if you wish to change the time shown.  Click "Yes" to continue.

  7. Select the hour.

  8. Select the minute and then AM or PM.

  9. "Save Changes" when done.

  10. You may also change the tips reported by the employee.  Start by selecting "Edit Tip".

  11. Click the field you wish to change.

  12. Enter the new tip amount.

  13. "Save" and "Exit" when done.

  14. In this same area is an employee message feature.  Start by selecting "Message Center".

  15. Select the individual employee, department or all employees to receive the message.

  16. Now type the message that you wish to send.

  17. "Save" and "Exit" when done.  The next time the employee uses the time clock feature a window will pop-up giving them your message.
