Quick Service Combo Meals Made Easier

One of the hottest concepts in Quick Service operations is the combining of menu items to make ordering fast, easy, to increase ticket average and to increase profits.  One way to make ordering combo meals easy is to have them numbered and make the customer order by this number.  This works great as long as the customer knows what they want and can remember your numbering system.  DirecTouch Point of Sale handles this type of ordering like any other POS system.  However, we have another way that makes this process even easier.

The DirecTouch Point of Sale software can be programmed to automatically recognize when a combo meal has been ordered and give the customer their earned discount.  Ring the items separately.  The system will recognize when a combo meal has been entered and do the rest.  Take moment to take a look.

1. In the next few slides we will show you how easy it is to set up a combo meal discount.  First, go to the Manager Menu.
   
2. Next, go to the Discount program area.
   
3. Give the combo meal a name.  This can be a number is you desire.  Whatever you put here will be used in reporting the discounts given by combo meal.
   
4. Pick from your available menu the items you want to make up this combo.  Here, we are picking a burger and drinks.  You can add as many items as you desire to create the combo meal.
   
5. Save and Exit when done.
   
6. No matter what sequence the items are entered, when a combo meal is recognized the system will automatically apply the discount for the cashier.  The system then reports the number and $ amount of each combo meal discount given each day.
